Is the Phoenix LGR filter the same as the LGR 700?
No. Phoenix LGR: F391, 470 × 290 × 6 mm. LGR 700: F284, 457 × 279 × 6 mm. They are different sizes — do not substitute.

F391 and F284 Are Not Interchangeable — Check Before You Order

This is the most common ordering error on Dri-Eaz equipment, and the reason is that the two parts are only 13 mm apart on the long edge. The Phoenix LGR takes F391 at 470 × 290 × 6 mm; the LGR 700 takes F284 at 457 × 279 × 6 mm. Side by side in a van they look like the same filter.

An F284 fitted to a Phoenix LGR leaves a gap on two edges. The machine runs, the airflow reads normally, and a proportion of the air simply bypasses the medium altogether. Unlike a blocked filter, bypass produces no symptom the operator can detect — the unit is quietly filtering a fraction of what it should for the whole job.

Fleet ordering practice

If you run both platforms, order the two SKUs in visibly different packaging and store them apart. We supply DL-HAF-F391 and DL-HAF-F284 in differentiated cartons for exactly this reason, and we will print your own part numbers on them at no extra cost on private-label orders.

Identifying Which Dri-Eaz Platform You Have

Dri-Eaz has used the Phoenix name across several generations, and the badge on the housing is not a reliable guide to which filter the machine takes. The dependable check is the filter aperture itself, measured across the opening rather than across the old filter, which may have shrunk or deformed in service.

Measure the long edge of the aperture. Approximately 470 mm indicates F391; approximately 457 mm indicates F284. If the measurement falls between the two, the machine is likely a variant we have not tooled for, and we would want a photograph of the housing and the old part before quoting rather than guessing from the model name.

It is worth recording the result somewhere durable — a label inside the housing, or a line in the asset register — because this measurement gets taken repeatedly across the life of a fleet, usually under time pressure on a job site.
